From a grass-roots organizer in Los Angeles to a candidate for the California Assembly, Billion GODSun brings decades of experience, courage, and community heart.
Early Life & Roots Raised in Los Angeles, Billion saw up close how Black neighborhoods were under threat—economically, culturally, and spatially. He refused to stand by. He acted. “The world is shaped by the people." We either sit back and allow others to form it for us, or we get involved and add what we want it to become.” Shoutout LA Community Leadership & Africa Town Work In partnership with the Africa Town Coalition, Billion helped organize and empower Black-owned micro-businesses, creatives, and cultural institutions in Africa Town/Leimert Park—what he describes as “the last thriving Black community in Los Angeles.” Shoutout LA "He co-founded Africa Town Enterprise to channel resources into our community, creating opportunities instead of waiting for them." Shoutout LA Why Assembly District 55? We need representation that is of the people, by the people, for the people. Billion is running to bring the same community-centric leadership to District 55 in Sacramento. He will fight for economic justice, heritage preservation, and real structural change. What He Believes
