​Since 2002, Billion GODSun has been leading grassroots efforts in Los Angeles to protect and empower Black communities—especially through the Africa Town Coalition. His work includes:

• Building sustainable ecosystems for Black-owned businesses.
• Promoting culturally-grounded districts (e.g., Africa Town / Leimert Park) as hubs of economic opportunity and heritage.
• Organizing community safety patrols, emergency response, and outreach to vulnerable residents.
• Partnering with local vendors and creatives to shift economic flows back into the community.

Growing up, Billion saw how our community’s resources, businesses and culture were under constant pressure. He’s stood on the front lines of change, organizing with the Africa Town Coalition and launching Africa Town Enterprise so that Black Angelenos could:

• reclaim our heritage and space, including the historic neighborhood of Leimert Park (“Africa Town”) in Los Angeles. 
  
• support and uplift Black-owned businesses and creatives to keep money in our community and generate generational wealth. 
  
• bring real representation and accountability to Sacramento—a voice grounded in our lived reality.
